The
National Senior Corps Association
(NSCA) Board of Directors is
pleased to announce that it has
enteredinto contractual,
grant-supported partnerships with
two national organizations
addressing Senior Corps training
needs.
NSCA
will lend its expertise to the
Research Triangle Institute (RTI)
to develop a Medicaid Waiver
publication to assist FGP, RSVP
and SCP projects in accessing
Medicaid Waiver billing as an
additional source of funding.
This project has been
commissioned by the Corporation
for National & Community
Service. RTI is a non-profit
research organization based in
North Carolina.
NSCA
has accepted an offer to partner
with JBS International, Aguirre
Division on the development of
an "Independent
Living" training curriculum
designed to assist SCP and RSVP
projects in providing high
quality service to adults who
are elderly or disabled. JBS
International, Aguirre Division
also operates Project STAR and
is based in Burlingame,
California.
Incorporated
in June 2007, the National Senior
Corps Association is the premier
organization addressing the funding,
programmatic and advocacy needs of
FGP, RSVP and SCP projects
nationwide under a unified
professional management model. The
NSCA Board of Directors is pleased
to partner with RTI and Aguirre
International, knowing that our
combined efforts will produce
tangible resources for project
directors, sponsors and volunteer
stations.
