RE: Instructions for Sending Good Wishes to David Eisner
November 14 is David Eisner's last day at the Corporation. CNCS is setting up an electronic farewell book in Facebook, the social networking website. The instructions below assume that you want to leave David good wishes on his Facebook page, but do not currently have a Facebook account.
Date to leave the message: November 14, 2008
You must have a Facebook account in order to use the website.
- To create an account, go to www.facebook.com.
- You will see the "Sign In" banner on the left side of the screen.
- Fill in the requested information and click "Join."
- Follow the prompts to complete registration.
- After your account is created, you need to establish contact with David in order to send him messages. Establish contact by entering his name - David Eisner - in the search box and click "go."
- Facebook will give you the search results. He is the first "David Eisner" that appears on search results and his photo is also there.
- You will have the following options: a.) Become his "friend" - meaning that he will allow you access to his Facebook page, or b.) send him a message without becoming his "friend" - this is the quickest way. Decide which option you would like, make a selection, and follow the prompts.
Note: If you created your Facebook account only for this purpose, you can always deactivate or cancel it. To do so, click on "Settings" in your Facebook page and then click "My Account." You will see options to: 1) "Deactivate my account" - click on this and follow the prompts if you want to retire your account but not delete it entirely. 2) "Delete my account" - click on this and follow the prompts if you want to completely delete the account. |
