advocates for and supports the needs of Foster
Grandparent, RSVP, and Senior Companion programs
nationwide. NSCA was founded on the shared belief
that professional cooperation is the most effective
approach to advocating for all Senior Corps

MISSION
Our mission is to
promote, represent, advocate for and enhance the
power of Senior Corps programs nationwide.

- Utilize a
professional management model that meets the
needs of NSCA membership, and enhances the
mission of the organization.
- Provide
professional advocacy at the national level, to
Congress, to the Corporation for National and
Community Service, and other potential partners.
- Market the power
of our national organizational framework to
corporate and non-profit funding entities.
- Voice issues of
concern in order to ensure stability and success
for Senior Corps programs.
- Provide
leadership that builds consensus.

NSCA works to
strengthen the Senior Corps network for the benefit
of its membership. NSCA works to assure continued
funding for Senior Corps programs.

NSCA REPRESENTS SENIOR CORPS
PROGRAMS
NSCA is the
recognized national leadership organization
representing the combined interests of the Foster
Grandparent Program, RSVP, and the Senior Companion
Program. The Foster Grandparent Program
connects people 55 and over with children and young
people with exceptional needs. RSVP offers
"one stop shopping" for all volunteers 55 and over
who want to find challenging, rewarding, and
significant service opportunities in their local
communities. The Senior Companion Program
brings together volunteers age 55 and over with
elderly adults and people with disabilities in their
communities who need assistance to retain their
independence.
